The new girl band, “IVE,” who received much attention from the audience even before they make their debut, is finally taking their first step onto the K-pop scene. IVE is a girl band with six members total including YUJIN (leader), GAEUL, REI, WONYOUNG, LIZ, and LEESEO who aims to show an independent and confident side of the girls just like the name of the band “IVE”—as in “I HAVE”—represents. IVE is here to show the confidence in their level of artistry. IVE announces their debut with the first debut track, “ELEVEN,” which emphasizes the unique identity of the band. The band will leave a strong first impression through their trendy music, performance, and visuals. The debut album is a proof of the harmonious balance among the members who are the best of the best in the field of K-pop. Album
Following six days of revealing the group members, on November 9, 2021, a teaser posted onto IVE's social medias revealed their debut date: December 1, 2021.[2] Two days later, the format of IVE's debuting work, as well as its title, were announced.[3]
Debut Films
As part of the promotion schedule for IVE's debut, films to showcase the group's abilities and individual prowess were released; the "Have What We Want" film was the first to be released on November 12, 2021, with Yujin's "Show What I Have" film being released a few days later on November 15, followed by Rei's on November 16, Leeseo's on November 17, Liz's on November 18, Gaeul's on November 19, and finally Wonyoung's on November 20.[4][5][6][7][8][9]

Commercial Performance
On December 1, 2021, it was reported that the album had achieved 56,209 copies sold in its first day of release.[10] A week later, on December 8, Hanteo Chart reported that the album's first week sales was 152,229 copies sold, making it the highest-selling debut album by a girl group in 2021 and the second-highest first-week sales performance by a girl group's debut album in chart history.[11] Within its first month of release, the album sold over 260,000 copies, ending the year as the 49th best-selling album in Korea.[12]
On February 10, 2022, the album became certified Platinum by the Korean Music Content Association (KMCA) for selling over 250,000 copies.[13] Eight days later, on February 18, "ELEVEN" achieved its 13th music show win on Music Bank - thus becoming the most decorated debut song by a K-pop group in history.[14]
On August 10, 2023, the album was certified Double Platinum by the KMCA for selling over 500,000 copies.[15]
