Formation & Trainee Life

• There were no other candidate names other than IVE.^[1]
• The six members found out they would debut together through an announcement by the agency's CEO - which the members say was very low-key and understated.^[1]
• The first song the members practiced together after formation was That's My Girl by Fifth Harmony.
• Under Starship Entertainment's trainee curriculum, all of the members recieved lessons in how to take selfies.^[2]
  • All of the members besides Annyeongz also recieved lessons in recording TikToks.

Post-Debut

Starship Entertainment

• IVE is the third girl group to debut under Starship Entertainment.^[3]
  • Their debut happened five years after that of Starship's second girl group WJSN.
  • Their debut happened two years after Starship's previous group CRAVITY.
  • They are the only group under Starship to have their debut in the second half of the year.
• They are the first Starship Entertainment group to have a Japanese member (Rei).
  • They are also the first Starship group to debut in the second-half of the year.
• LeeSeo, the group's maknae, is currently the youngest idol under Starship.

Staff Members

• IVE's main manager is named Kim Do-jin.^[4]
  • He previously served in Republic of Korea's Marine Corps as a member of the 1223rd Class.

Dorm Life

• IVE's dorm arrangement (as of April 2022) is^[4]:
  • Master Bedroom: Gaeul, Rei and LeeSeo.
  • Separate Rooms: Yujin, Wonyoung and Liz.
• None of the members use bunk beds due to their long limbs and because most are still growing.
• During the group's debut promotions, the members were split into two separate cars. However, as of April 2022, they use one big van to go to schedules.^[4]

Other

• At the time of their debut in December 2021, the group's average age was 17 years old.
• Following IZ*ONE's disbandment, IVE is the first group to debut featuring former IZ*ONE members (Yujin and Wonyoung).
• IVE's hand sign had to be altered quickly after debut as it clashed with that of EVERGLOW.
• With an average height of 169.8 cm, they are the third-tallest girl group in K-pop history.^[5]
• The group's representative number is 4201 - the sum when all of the members' birthdays (excluding year) are added up.
  • Said number was the password for the house they stayed in for 1,2,3 IVE.
• The slogan for each other is "You're weird, but Don't Change". This was revealed during their 3rd appearance on Idol Human Theater when commenting on Wonyoung's childish handwriting.

Members

• Yujin and Wonyoung are both former members the project girl group IZ*ONE and contestants of Produce 48.
• The age gap between the eldest member (Gaeul) and maknae (LeeSeo) is 4 years, 5 months and 3 days.^[6]
• All of the members were born in the 21st-century.
  • All of the members have birth marks on their faces and/or necks.
  • Every member has at least one sibling.
  • As of April 2022, all of the members use iPhones.

Achievements and Records

• IVE achieved their first music show win only a week after debut on December 7, 2021 at MBC's Show Champion with "Eleven".
  • They share the record for fastest first win by a girl group after debut with VIVIZ (7 days).
• With 13 music show wins, the group's debut song "Eleven" is the most decorated debut song on music shows ever.^[7]
• IVE is the second fastest 4th-generation K-pop girl group to win a Rookie of the Year Award, winning it at the Hanteo Music Awards just 33 days after debut.^[8]
• In May 2022, IVE became the third-ever K-pop girl group to top the Gaon Monthly Chart.^[9][10]
• In June 2022, IVE became members of the 'million-seller club' after recording over 1 million accumulative album sales on Circle Chart.^[11]
• IVE is the fastest K-pop group to record 2 million cumulative album sales on Circle Chart, doing so in just 274 days.^[12]
